One of my prayers is that North Korea would open up to the world, and allow their people to modernize. The ability to work with South Korea, Russia and eventually Europe would open up opportunity for the leadership and the nation to grow and develop.
My personal prayer is that the Gospel that once came to Pyongyang some time ago would allow the peninsula as a whole flourish, but first and utmost, that individual lives would be saved and have a relationship with Jesus.
There are several former North Koreans that have made it out that are still petitioning for their country. Once notable person is Yeonmi Park. There are several others – tons of people in the background that share this hope for North Koreans – but reform can only occur when leaders decide a change is required. Leadership guides the country, but these leaders can only make the decision that would be the best for their people. I do not believe that violent actions should be conducted, but that the self will of the nation – the government and the people should guide the next steps and transition for a better future.
