Serve Your Community—Your Unique Gifts Matter
Your community needs you. Each of us has a unique ability—a gift—that can strengthen the borough, township, city, or neighborhood we call home.
Maybe you coach your kids’ team, mentor a struggling student, or teach a skill like woodworking. Perhaps you support widows, orphans, or volunteer at your local school. In my area, our Volunteer Fire Company stands as a lifeline—without people stepping up, our homes could burn. Your talent, whatever it is, can make a difference.
Serving starts with recognizing what you’re good at and sharing it. The reward? You help others grow, and together, we build a stronger community.
Politics—whether Democrat, Republican, or Independent—don’t define service. When we serve, differences fade, and we level the playing field to work as one. Some push division, anarchy, or violence, revealing a lack of love for their neighbor and unresolved struggles within. But confronting those inner battles is how we discover who we are, who we’re meant to live for, and where we’re headed when life ends.
Service holds our nation together. God, who created all things, gave us a moral law we’ve all broken—and a hope through Jesus Christ that redeems us. Life is short, evil is real, and one day we’ll all stand before Him.
So don’t stand idle. If you see corruption or wrong, call it out. Stand firm with others who share your values, hold the guilty accountable, and fight for what’s right. This isn’t the time to shrink back—it’s the time to act.
Serve if you can. Reject bribes, resist evil, and do good for all. Protect, serve, and build—not just for your community, but for your family too. In Jesus, there’s hope for this life and eternity.
